original characters
most of my original work is collected under a separate name. so, my fandom ocs are the focus of this section!
everything is nsfw. sorry lolthis section is relatively unstyled and will eventually be revamped into something a bit prettier. for now...
into the mat finishverse
mat finish is the name of my wish fulfillment self-insert - usually used, but not always. there's a degree of separation between me and them, which also makes them lend very well to au versions.
generally when i am not using mat i am probably using 'dollthing', who's just a fictionalised version of me. see below!
vanilla mat: for any fandom without a specific au version (hah. as if they could be vanilla)
design notes
- mat has pale skin and brown undercut hair with bangs in the shape of an 'm', with lighter brown highlights towards the front of their hair. they have grey-brown eyes.
- they wear full-moon reflective shades and sometimes also have snakebite piercings.
- most of their clothes will be muted, greyscale or black, including when they're in lingerie.
- they are 5'7 and have a toned, light and masculine build.
- they have top surgery scars and a vagina, but they could have a penis too. it doesn't really matter.
biography
- mat is my self-indulgent wish fulfillment character. they occupy every universe i desire and receive all of the sadomasochistic abuse i wish i could take. they are mostly used for selfshipping with canon characters, because i am insatiable.
- in most universes they are an ambiguously eastern european, globetrotting assassin. orphaned, they learnt to kill young, and their fucked up reluctant killer mentor/mentee relationship left them with daddy issues up the wazoo which only got worse when their mentor was killed (this is their Canon Event, a la spider-verse).
- they are sexually excited by self-dissolution, danger and being overpowered in both mind and body. they have few limits, and can enjoy a vast amount of experiences most would consider unbearable. this has made them an asset in the Crime World, because it makes them extremely hard to crack in interrogation. but honestly, they would rather spend their whole time pursuing the pleasures of the flesh.
trigger's protegé (the venture bros.)
mat's 'vanilla' design is the same for the venture bros.
biography
- mat was originally envisioned as an OC for the venture bros. in this universe, their mentor was herr trigger (a minor canon character, a hitman who likes to fuck his guns).
- in revenge for trigger's death, they attempted to confront his 'killers' (rusty venture and brock samson), but wound up befriending... and seducing... both of them instead, during an attack on the Venture compound by the Guild of Calamitous Intent.
- they became an odd extension to the venture family and a very terrible influence on both rusty and brock, analogous to molotov cocktease.
- they know molotov too! but they are completely oblivious that she was the true orchestrator of trigger's death.

rusty venture & brock samson: I think that Mat appeals to both of them for different reasons. Brock enjoys having an equal opponent, Rusty has darker urges that Mat is more than willing to satisfy (and they are, like, shockingly eager to sign up for ill-formed superscience experiments).
manikin (dc universe)
design notes
- all of the above apply, except this version does not permanently have snakebite piercings (these are eventually removed by hugo).
- the combat suit is a combination of a lacy bodysuit with transparent body armour on their limbs, resulting in their arms and legs looking 'doll-like', with what appears to be plastic joints.
- when they are not fighting or killing, manikin will be dressed in dark, lacy lingerie.
- thigh highs and suspenders are a mainstay. they may also wear heels, adding to their height. this isn't so much 'cross-dressing' as lacking an identity which to 'cross'. it is an object for dressing up sexily.
biography
- Mat was originally an assassin for Don Carmine Falcone.
- Falcone hired them to kill Hugo Strange (who was working with his mob using the power from his high-powered arkham job and under-the-table medical experiments… but then he double-crossed Falcone)
- Mat falls into a trap Hugo sets. Hugo holds them captive, brainwashes them (i have a comic about this!).
- They emerge months later, assumed dead. Now they are less person than object, surgically enhanced for combat (quickened reflexes/increased flexibility), and bearing a new moniker: Manikin.
- Hugo gets the security of an eternally loyal bodyguard and weapon, and gets to learn the joy of working as a pair. Fitting Hugo’s desire to be Batman, I sort of see them as a twisted parallel to Batman and Robin (as well as, to a lesser extent, Joker and Harley lol) and befitting Hugo’s loneliness and desire for companionship and vulnerability that he, like, refuses to admit.

Hugo Strange: Hugo is Manikin's 24/7 dominant, brainwasher, and architect. He owns and shapes them, and Manikin is more than happy to be owned and shaped (not that they have much of a choice).
My template for their relationship originates from the Hugo in Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight, who literally fucked his mannequins. This Hugo is very sexually repressed, violently misogynistic, and quite conflicted about wanting to fuck someone who is so confusing to his presumed heterosexuality. lol. Other Hugos are... queer in less repressed ways.
Hugo has a lot of different versions! I have shipped Manikin with the vast majority of Hugos, although they obviously lend themselves the best to Post-Crisis, extra edgy 90s Hugo!
One thing to note is that Mat is a little taller than Gotham (live action) Hugo, but shorter than Arkham Hugo and most of the comic versions.
Carmine Falcone: I see Carmine's relationship with Mat as being both carnal and utilitarian. Carmine sees it as a way to get the best performance out of his attack dog... and likes that such a brutal weapon can be so tender and vulnerable with him.
My Carmine is mostly based on the version in The Batman (played by John Turturro), with some features from the comics (e.g. the scar, the fashion sense).
fisheye (hazbin hotel)
design notes
- fisheye's rather loud and confusing b&w design is based on pilot fish, a common companion with sharks (they clean their teeth and kill parasites for them, in exchange for the larger fish's protection).
- their hair is flowing and fluid, as though always underwater. their clothing also flows as though it's underwater, like seaweed or coral.
- because of their stripes they are uncapturable on any video cameras in hell.
- the patterns on their skin and clothing shift and pulsate based on their actions and feelings. vibes rather than accuracy is generally the rule.
- they have fishhook earrings, shades, and a beret type thing on their head when clothed.
- they have glowing white irises with black pupils and scleras. their teeth are all sharp, and they have geometric markings on their face (inspired by makeup designed to trip up facial recognition).
- they wear twin bandoliers in an x-shape on their chest, and on their left thigh. The left thigh holds bullets made with angelic metal.
- rather than snakebites, they now have markings resembling triple lip piercings on their lower lip.
- as vox owns their soul, he has shaped their appearance significantly. they have a barcode on their chin and a womb tattoo bearing the voxtek logo. (it glows when they are fucked by him.) they have usb ports for nipples. their pussy is, too, a port that's compatible with vox's, uh, cable.
- like vox, blood drips from their mouth when they are feeling stronger emotions... particularly bloodlust.
biography
- from an AU where mat, well, died, and went to hell.
- they continued their assassination trade in hell :) primarily, they worked for carmilla carmine.
- vox discovered through this that they could not be captured on camera, and so would be a threat to him if he did not have them under his control. he entrapped them and forced them to agree to a soul contract, renaming them 'fisheye'.
- fisheye is pretty content with this arrangement... partly because they don't have a choice, having been so violently brainwashed. (this is a common theme with these biographies. lmao.) but, they like feeling wanted. they like being his number one weapon, so powerful he can't reveal their existence to anyone. they think there is some privilege and exclusivity in that.

Vox: Vox would not call their relationship loving. But, as Fisheye is so masochistic, devoted and resilient, they are just wonderful stress relief for him. Though he delights in exploiting them, he's quite attached to his vicious pet.
Max (my other Hazbin OC lol): Purely unrequited on Fisheye's part. Max was Fisheye's mentor, and they always found him incredibly attractive. He still has no romantic or sexual interest in them in death, and only wishes that they would get free of Vox and make their own path.
grulovian mobster (psychonauts)
this mat uses the central colour scheme in this design layout (sorry im lazy i will one day crop and separate these LOL)
design notes
- they're blue now! but i actually don't generally draw them in colour. the important parts are their skin is blue, their hair is purple, and their lips are green.
- any more colourful clothes work here. their colour scheme here is inspired by poison dart frogs and similar - a similar combination of bright tones with black.
- mat's snakebites contain a small amount of psitanium, so they are glowing purple.
biography
- Based on my gritty expansion of the Psychonauts universe lol.
- The Grulovian mob is the biggest crime syndicate in the world that deals specifically in illegal psychic weapons and substances.
- It’s a whole thing where the mob sort of, like… ‘saved’ Grulovia, or at least, its economy, after the civil war when the post-war international aid they should have received was wrapped up in red tape. This gave them the opportunity to expand and exploit and play on people’s fears of a second Maligula. Psychic self-defence was in high demand.
- The mob is now an international operation, quietly controlling the remnants of the nation’s military and defences. It is actually bankrolling secret Psychonaut experiments into psychic defences and neutralisation. They are also selling Psitanium, sold to them by the Psychonauts, on the black market.
- Otto Mentallis has been facilitating these deals with the mob for years in order to keep the Psychonauts in the black, while the rest of the Psychic Six are nursing their wounds and trauma after the war... Otto always preferred to push forward. He feels responsible and feels as though this is the best way he could be involved in repairing things. He is squashing his own remorse to do it, possibly via the Astralathe.
- Mat grew-up post-Maligula, orphaned and in poverty, and joined the mob at a young age.
- They became a part of a... joint research project between the Psychonauts and the mob, in which members are initiated through tattoos and piercings containing trace amounts of Psitanium. These took some trial and error in terms of getting a safe amount of Psitanium into the body. In the right person and with the right amount, they will activate minor psychic abilities and remain 'active', without psychological ill effects from Psitanium poisoning. When their piercings are in place, Mat has a minor Clairvoyance ability, allowing them to psychically look through cameras and other people's eyes.
- They encounter Otto because their boss sent them to go and… nudge him towards a particular deal he’s been indecisive about. Just intimidate him enough so he’ll go the right way on it. Instead, Otto opts to repurpose them as a double agent, his 'man on the inside'. it's also useful for him to have a nobody to imprison in his lab and do all his most unethical experiments on. The ones he can't get official approval for.

Otto Mentallis: The main component of Mat and Otto's relationship is experimentation, and simply wild kinks impracticable without the presence of limitless psychic powers. Otto feels a degree of pity for Mat's situation, but not so much that he won't use them. He'll convince himself that he is actually doing them a favour. A kind of 'therapy'. A notable point of this relationship is the presence of consensual erotic mind control/hypnosis... something of a rarity in my collection lol. That is, they actually have as good boundaries and safeties as one can have for what they are doing, since Otto is not a complete monster, and he is also not particularly interested in sex without kink (I headcanon him as ace spectrum and very kinky). That is, mind control and altered mental states are not a means to an end - they are the end.
unnamed auton version (doctor who)
This is an unfinished redesign of Mat for the Whoniverse. I see them as an on-again off-again companion for the Master, an Auton who inexplicably has developed a human psyche (or maybe had one all along?) but who is extremely controllable. And quite likes it.
Mannequin imagery! :D
hazbin ocs
max, the cassette demon
design notes
- max is a raven/kraken hybrid, with tentacles that are magnetic tapes from cassettes. the tapes are a reference to his professional blackmailing work, back on earth.
- he tends to wear a Big Coat that is shaped like a cassette, with chunky pirate-style cuffs (with illegible writing on them).
- max is Very Large. i would estimate he is about 10 feet (possibly more as heights in hazbin are proportionally very tall).
- he has short grey hair on top of his feathered head. it looks a little silly.
biography
- as a hitman and blackmailer, max killed many people on earth, and condemned many others to hell. his work was in elimination, and stirring up desperation and temptation.
- he mentored a young fisheye close to the end of his life, seeing them as a worthy protegé as he aged and started to think about his legacy. to have someone else fucking shit up after he died... that would be worthwhile. unfortunately, fisheye didn't last too much longer.
- he has a lot of soul power from having been a killer. in my view, murder is an unspoken power source in the hazbin canon: people who killed lots of people in life will claim ownership of those souls, if they are later purged by the exorcists. the remaining soulstuff will flock to their killers and imbue their hellish form.
- he's actually kind of a pussycat, and sees hell as a comfortable retirement. if he stirs shit up, it will be small fish. he had his fun in life, and doesn't see much value in the eternal power struggles of the overlords in the pride circle. he's a lone wolf (well, raven), not well suited for organisation or bureaucracy. he is on good terms with zestial and alastor, partly because he isn't an actual threat to them. i could also see him getting along quite well with striker.
dollthing?
this is dollthing, the fictional sona i use when mat doesn't make sense for the fandom i'm working with, or i just want my selfship to be EXTRA self-indulgent. basically, they are a much closer self-insert to me IRL, and occupy many mundane jobs that it seems silly for mat to do, like office jobs and coffee shifts.
sometimes dollthing = me, like in my autobiographical comic - but that's not the one we're talking about here. the one we're talking about is a separate character who is a dramatic, autofiction-esque exaggeration of all my best and worst parts. they get to do all the crimes.
i characterise this dollthing as booksmart but emotionally illiterate, and very edgy. they are extremely submissive and want to experience lots of sensations that seem frightening or painful to most people. they are intensely passionate and obsessive, sometimes to the point of being quite scary, and sometimes to the point of disregarding the wellbeing of others for the sake of horny. they're quite sexually inexperienced and tend to jump in the deep end much too soon, with just about everything. they carry a lot of trauma, shame and self-hatred which leads them to be reckless and make bad decisions. they are the absolute worst kind of hypnosub and see my hypnotist f/os as basically trance dispensers. They Suck! (cock, sometimes.)
design notes
- dollthing has a shaved head and clubmaster glasses.
- they are an average build - limbs are toned, but they have some tummy as well. they are around 5'6.
- they dress actually very similarly to mat, but with a little more geek chic.

robert california: i envision dollthing as actually working for robert in the IT department at one of the many companies he's managed as a CEO (it doesn't have to be dunder mifflin, but it could be). they wind up being, um, promoted to his kinky PA, secretary style. he's delighted by their depravities, though it's not actually so fun when he doesn't have to fight for their affections. so a lot of his manipulative games with them are about trying to provoke them to do something unexpected.
hugo strange: dollthing also has a Side Thing with hugo, as an alternate universe Manikin. being based on me, this version does not have combat abilities. they are more like an unethical research assistant who is gradually eroded in self as they help with an ever-increasing litany of scientific atrocities under hugo's tutelage. verrrry dark academia vibes with these two 💖 in the Good End, they continue on as his assistant while he plays with their mind and corrupts them more and more. they do lots of fucked up hypnokinky stuff. in the Bad End, they would collapse under the weight of their guilt. to stop them from going to the authorities, hugo would trigger ego death in them, leading them to be no more than a hollow object for him to use.
